Water-Themed Park Set to Redefine Leisure and Tourism in Saudi Arabia

Aquarabia, a significant addition to Qiddiya Entertainment City, sprawls across 250,000 square meters. It boasts 22 rides, four world record-holders, and the tallest water coaster and slide. With 8 themed zones, 5 record-breaking rides, and 20% dry attractions, coupled with 81 luxury cabanas, it ensures a luxurious experience. Noteworthy attractions include an underwater adventure ride, a massive wave pool, and a premier surf pool. An extreme water sports zone also provides activities like rafting and kayaking, serving as a whitewater kayaking training facility. Aquarabia hosts 22 dining outlets, and 8 retail shops, and prioritizes sustainability by aiming to reduce water waste by 90%. Inspired by native animals, its design integrates technology to minimize water usage and evaporation. Nestled near the Tuwaiq Mountains, it aims to redefine water-themed entertainment, offering visually stunning experiences for visitors of all ages and interests.

Qiddiya Investment Company (QIC) revealed that Aquarabia, the region’s largest water theme park, is set to open in 2025. ALEC Engineering & Contracting and El Seif Engineering Contracting, in a joint venture, secured the main contract, with Keir International, and awarded a USD 18.4 million contract for engineering, design, and civil and electromechanical works. Voltas Limited will handle MEP services under a USD 114 million contract. Dewan Architects, Engineers & Planners serves as the design and MEP consultant.
