Among the esteemed bidders for this transformative initiative is Orascom, a recognized leader in construction and infrastructure development. The Water Recycling and Recovery Plant project boasts a substantial plot area of approximately 302,599.99 square meters, promising to revolutionize water treatment and conservation practices in the NEOM region.
The development will proceed under a design and build contract, encompassing a comprehensive array of civil and building works. The scope of the project is both expansive and intricate, with a focus on creating a state-of-the-art facility that aligns with NEOM’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
The project’s civil and building works will encompass a wide array of components, incorporating structures such as the innovation center building, guardhouse, administration building, NEOM energy building, diesel generator room (type 1) and fuel tank, electrical substations, potable water pump station, firefighting pump station, influent tanker unloading area, inlet lift pumping station, headworks, bioreactor, chlorine contact tank, recycled water storage tank, chemical dosing and storage room, air blower room, sidestream treatment, workshop, biosolid and wastewater test beds, food pilot area, pumping station test beds, unthickened and thickened sludge unloading area, unthickened sludge equalization tanks, unthickened sludge screening building, unthickened sludge storage tanks, sludge digesters, digested sludge tanks, thermal hydrolysis plant & CHP, silos for dry solids, combined OCU, washwater booster pumping station, stormwater pumping station, and all foundations and civil works associated with these structures.
