Master Plan Approved for Jebel Ali Beach Transformation

Dubai has taken a significant step forward with the recent approval of the Master Plan for a groundbreaking coastal development. This initiative, led by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to transform 6.6 km of Jebel Ali Beach into a world-class recreational destination. The architectural designs for the development’s buildings and facilities, emphasizing aesthetics and functionality, have also been greenlit, signaling the project’s swift progression towards its ambitious goals.

Spanning an extensive stretch, the development will offer exceptional services, facilities, and public amenities. It will include a 2 km open swimmable beach, a 2.5 km diving sports area, and dedicated zones for various beach activities, such as kids’ play areas and sports facilities. The infrastructure will feature parking for 1,000 vehicles, 80 bicycle racks, a cycling track, and a 5 km running track, ensuring a comprehensive and enjoyable experience for all visitors.

The development will be divided into three main locations: the Pearl, the Sanctuary, and the Nest. The Pearl will serve as a hub for family-friendly activities, sports, and dining, featuring a beach club, restaurants, and a floating restaurant. The Sanctuary will prioritize environmental conservation, offering a haven for turtles and natural habitats, along with recreational and sports activities. The Nest will focus on environmental education and conservation, housing an environmental center for biodiversity studies and turtle rehabilitation programs.

This coastal development places a high priority on environmental preservation, aligning with Dubai’s broader sustainability goals. By enhancing turtle habitats, planting mangrove trees, and implementing eco-friendly measures, the project will significantly contribute to protecting local ecosystems and wildlife. The initiative reflects Dubai’s commitment to creating a healthy environment and enriching the quality of life for its citizens, residents, and visitors, making the emirate an even more attractive place to live and visit.
