Kuwait-based Alghanim International announced the awarding of an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for Project Volta, a new cogeneration utilities plant in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
The contract, valued at USD 1 billion, has been awarded by Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA Group) and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC Group).
This strategic project will play a vital role in supplying essential utilities to petrochemical plants at the TA’ZIZ derivatives complex. It is expected to introduce new petrochemical products to the UAE market while reinforcing Alghanim International’s position as a leading provider of large-scale utilities and energy infrastructure solutions.
With a portfolio that includes the Duqm Integrated Power and Water Plant in Oman—supporting the Duqm Refinery—and several large-scale energy projects in Kuwait, Alghanim International continues to contribute significantly to the region’s energy sector.
