More recently, E1 has moved into the export market with greater focus than previously. ‘Emergency One have always exported but we felt that we would like to do this in a more structured way – identify marketplaces and industries where we believe that we can add value,’ comments Malcolm Etridge, International Business Development Manager. ‘We quickly realised the innovations that we put on our pumping appliances could be used to make other types of appliances more effective both for the firefighters but also for fleet managers. The key has been finding, and working with, in-country partners that can be trained as OEM technicians to support the appliances and equipment on a day-to-day basis.’

Emergency One E1 EV0™
The creation of the world’s first fully electric zero emissions pumping appliance has opened marketplaces in North America, Middle East and East Asia territories as well as Europe. Steven Bell, Director at E1 stated: ‘Since the launch of the EV0 in 2020 we have been delighted with its global appeal. The key to this vehicle is that it is a true working solution, and its original design does not veer far from the traditional firefighting vehicles. The technology ensures not only a seamless fit into fire fleets but is designed in a way that allows us to package this on numerous chassis to suit each individual customer.’
The EV0 can be fully configured to a number of different chassis types and comes in a fully electric option or built with an on-board Smart Charge solution to extend operational time.
E1 Scorpion™
E1 attributes many of its design choices and ideas to their end users, and the Scorpion is the perfect example of customers approaching the company with an issue and then working together to produce a solution – one that is proving to be an export favourite. The addition of a high reach extendable turret (HRET) not only improves firefighter safety in a number of known hazardous environments but also assists command and control by providing observation platforms for CCVT and thermal imaging.
