Renz positive pressure ventilation – Enabling rescue forces to effectively ventilate buildings in the event of a fire

Firefighting and rescue services are the focus of the owner-managed Renz GmbH in Eppertshausen near Frankfurt am Main. By means of demand-oriented consulting, high-quality and economic efficiency of the products is guaranteed. The innovative Typhoon positive pressure ventilation (PPV) systems enable rescue forces to effectively ventilate buildings in the event of a fire. Smoke, toxic gases and heat can be removed more effectively and decisively faster with the use of the fans, making it easier, or even possible at all, for rescue personnel to enter rooms. The product range includes a gasoline, water and electric series in certified explosion-proof design. In addition, the portfolio has been expanded to include a smoke ejector with gasoline or water drive and battery-powered fans. Water-turbine-driven PPV

The idea is unique. To build a system that generates stronger airflows and yet weighs less. The result: Renz PPV system, the TYPHOON. The secret of the Typhoon lies in the driving power of the water turbine. The device is maintenance-free because no other motor is needed. Just connect it to any pumping station or hydrant. The Typhoon also sets new standards in safety. It runs without electricity or gasoline: No sparking, no carbon monoxide and it meets all ATEX requirements according to EXII 2GD cIIC T6(80°C). Weighing less than 14kg and 34kg respectively, the Typhoon 21W10 and 30W22 are portable, compact and lightweight units. With a flow rate of up to 850m³ per minute, they deliver more than any other ventilator on the market and disperse smoke and toxic gases many times faster than any other device. Due to the very low spray rate of approx. 40 l/min. only small amounts of contaminated liquid are produced.

EEX electro-motor PPV

Our EEX product series meet the requirements for an explosion-proof design of fan: no ignition hazards emanate from any component of the complete unit during regular operation. The mobile PPV units with electric drive from Renz are available in sizes 18, 21 and 30in and are approved as complete units in accordance with Directive 2014/34/EU.

Gasoline-driven PPV

New to the Renz product portfolio are the AirFlow gasoline engines in five different sizes 18, 21, 24, 27 and 30in with lightweight aluminium frames. Weight, dimensions, tilt adjustment and airflow are significantly improved thanks to the new frame design.

Electro-motor PPV – direct drive/variable speed

Our electric fans with adjustable/fixed speed have also been optimized. Weight, manoeuvrability and air performance have been significantly improved.

Battery-powered PPV

Despite the small size and light weight, our battery fans achieve excellent air performance with a running time of more than 60 minutes – a long lasting performance at 1,000W. They can also be operated directly with the connection cable 230V.
