Passive Fire Protection for Designers & Specifiers

This event will take the form of an introductory presentation followed by an hour-long panel session involving 3-4 industry representatives discussing design and specification issues and concerns. It will cover:

• What stage to involve fire specialists.
• Understanding test evidence.
• Details on specifying, e.g. BCF/ASFP document intumescent.
• What you need to know / when to ask for PFP specialists.

Passive Fire Protection for Contractors, Installers and Dry Liners

This hour-long session will provide an overview of passive fire protection installation considerations. It will discuss the scheduling of PFP work and when to involve PFP specialists. It will feature an introduction from the ASFP and input from our guest speaker Joe Cilia, Technical Director of FIS (Finishes and Interiors Sector).

Modern forms of compartmentation

This practical session on modern forms of compartmentation will focus on product details and product standards.

It will explain why compartmentation is important, look at modern forms of compartmentation such as fire-resisting glazing and fire curtains; and provide information on how to choose a competent installer. It will feature speakers from ASFP and input from our guest speaker, a representative of the Glass and Glazing Federation.
