The Emergency Services Show returns to the NEC, Birmingham, UK from 19-20 September. This year’s event features over 90 free CPD-accredited seminars, an exciting opportunity to watch fire and rescue crews participate in daily Extrication and First Aid & Trauma Challenges and an International Collaboration Forum sponsored by the Resilience Advisors Network (RAN).
Taking place each morning, the International Collaboration Forum will highlight how UK and international fire fighters can stay connected with their colleagues. The programme includes an overview of opportunities for UK experts and specialists to work within the European Civil Protection Mechanism and features key speakers from UK, EU and USA. Dr Owen Jackson, the Cabinet Office’s Assistant Director for International Resilience will speak about the UK’s international civil protection priorities, and the role for resilience practitioners.

Meanwhile the free seminar programmes will focus on collaboration and the efficiencies that can be achieved through data sharing and technology, whilst addressing head-on the health, safety and psychological needs of individual fire, rescue and call centre staff when responding to incidents.
Around the exhibition visitors can see and touch the latest kit and discuss solutions with over 450 suppliers and organisations. Demonstrations of connected vehicle technology and virtual reality training will take place around the exhibition while in the outdoor area visitors will have the opportunity to “fly” the all-new Rosenbauer XS 3.0 articulated turntable ladder.
