Firefighters and Officers from Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) have been out in the community officering advice on home safety.
As part of their shift duties, staff have been out in the community meeting with residents to talk about fire safety in their homes and giving advice on matters such as electrical safety, keeping their homes fire safe, what to do in the event of a fire, how to call the emergency services and achieving safe evacuation if a fire does occur.

Crews were joined by officers and their DCD Firefighter mascot, a great assistant when dealing with the younger generation.
The initiative enables Firefighters and residents to understand the common causes of fire and how to prevent them. Firefighters can help people check their homes are safe and offer advice on the actions they can take to make their homes and families safer.
DCD has excellent standards of response to an emergency, they are increasingly developing ideas to reduce the number of incidents that occur.
