Continuous Luminance Powered By Tethered System
Singapore – Volarious, a leading provider of tethered drone systems has announced the launch of its new floodlight, V-Light. Aimed at assisting the emergency responder and public safety by providing an extensive 20.000 lumens drone floodlight powered by its flagship tethered system, V-Line Pro.
Emergencies and disasters strike unpredictably, often in the dead of night. As the Pakistan cable car incident remains a recent reminder, it highlighted the importance of having a clear view of the emergency scene. In that case, aerial rescue had to be called off once nightfall due to visibility issue. Furthermore, the remote location of the incident site highlights the importance of portability in rescue equipment.
In the past, rescue crew relied on towering masts and torchlights, with masts being the go-to solution. However, due to their unwieldy size, they frequently posed challenges in swiftly reaching accident scenes. The torchlights are portable but has limited coverage. With drone lights, it is possible to reach and illuminate the scene, however drones with bright lights have short flight times due to high power consumption of the battery. Both limitations are addressed in tethered V-Light.
V-Light draws power directly from the portable tethered system instead of DJI M30. This enables more power to be supplied and a very bright light. To complement M30 and V-Line portability, the V-Light is small and light. It easily fits into a backpack or a small compartment in the fire truck. It has a pitch angle of up to 180 degrees and at a height of 100 feet, the light could illuminate approximately 5616 square feet of land. The technology of drones, continuous luminance, and unlimited flight time will surely be life-saving equipment for public safety and emergency responders.
