These tried and true fabrics make BarriAire face coverings easy to wash and dry with little to no shrinkage after repeated launderings. BarriAire Gold masks feature a durable water repellent finish affording superior soil and water resistance with outstanding stain-release performance. This proprietary DWR finish also reduces the buildup of toxic residue that can be more easily absorbed by non-treated fabrics. BarriAire gaiters/bandannas are treated with a dual-technology antimicrobial that inhibits microbes with trimodal efficiency, eliminating over 99% of the microbes while also maintaining unparalleled odor management.
When it comes to choosing a face covering, the presence of a particulate blocking filter is highly recommended. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the United States suggests that filtered masks provide optimal protection against the transmission of viral, bacterial and other hazardous airborne particulates.
