Al Futtaim Element Materials Technology has received AC291 accreditation from the International Accreditation Service (IAS) for the third party inspections of exterior cladding and curtainwall systems in Dubai, UAE.
The IAS’ AC291 accreditation signifies Al Futtaim Element as a special inspections agency that has demonstrated compliance with ISO/IEC Standard 17020:2012. Al Futtaim Element is now one of the leading specialist companies in the region with the accreditation to perform inspection services on facades, curtainwalls, cladding systems, railing systems, canopies, pergolas, skylights, louvers, and doors and windows.
Rob Veitch, EVP of Fire & Building Products at Element, said: “The team in Dubai worked hard to achieve this accreditation, turning the application around in just a few weeks. As the laboratory is already accredited to ISO17025, they had the expertise and structures in place to demonstrate excellence in this field.
“Al Futtaim Element has been supporting the Middle East construction industry for more than 25 years and is one of the biggest façade testing laboratories in the world. Al Futtaim Element is a leader in the region and we are pleased this is reflected in our new standing as one of just two choices for this testing in the UAE.”
Al Futtaim Element’s façade testing and advisory services division delivers testing, consultancy and inspection to clients throughout the Middle East. It provides integrated services in design review, failure investigation and third-party QA/QC services, and has been involved in a wide range of prestigious building developments in the Middle East region for many years.
