Duyar Valve – Continuous improvement and total quality management

Duyar Valve products are used in five continents. Its fire-protection products include NRS gate valves, wet alarm valves, sprinkler heads, OS&Y valves, riser manifolds, test & drain valves and indicator butterfly valves.

Duyar Valve started its operation in a small workshop in 1965 and has now become a source of pride in Turkey with exports to 70 different countries supplying more than 700 projects worldwide.

With its administrative head office in Istanbul, Duyar Valve has modern production and design facilities, including its 15,000m² main plant at Esenyurt, Istanbul, its 8,000m² casting factory at Gurpinar, Istanbul, and its sprinkler production facility, which produces Turkey’s first FM-approved, UL-listed sprinkler heads.

The plant where Turkey’s first sprinklers were produced now makes sprinklers of all deflector types (Upright, Pendent, Sidewall) ranging from K5.6 to K11.2 head sizes, quick response and standard response types, and from 57°C to 141°C. It is also possible to design and produce thermo bulbs and sprinkler heads for special purposes according to market needs.

Duyar Valve has adopted ‘Lean Production’, one of the most advanced production methods of today, and applies it in all of its processes, allowing the company to handle orders quickly from its customers throughout Turkey and worldwide.

Achieving production of common products and UL, FM, LPCB, EAC, CE, TSE certifications for the first time in Turkey, Duyar Valve has clinched success in Quality Management System, Information Security Management Systems and Customer Satisfaction Management System with ISO 9001, ISO 27001 and ISO 10002 certificates.

Using its own laboratories and under the surveillance of its expert staff, Duyar Valve is able to perform functional tests of its sprinklers to the standards required by accreditation institutions, including distribution distance and protection area. As a result, Duyar branded products are used safely in Turkey and in 70 other countries, mainly in Europe.
